Hi Jackie.
I have just started reading your blog. I will be reading it from the very beginning in 2004 to the present.

I hope that you are doing well.

I do not have breast cancer that I know of. My bones and breasts have been hurting me something awful for about 4 months now. The docs have been saying its hormones or fibromyalgia, and that just did not seem right to me.

So now I have a new doctor. He is perturbed because of the lack of investigation on the other doctor's part. I will soon be having a bone scan to see what is really going on.

I am not afraid at all! I want you to keep your head up and don't be sad or scared either. The Bible has a promise for us. If you could read Revelation 21:3,4 it will tell you that soon there will be no more sickness death or pain.....isn't that wonderful?

I am sure you have faith, for I see inner strength in your writings.

Please take care Jackie, and I promise to keep you posted on my health situation.

My name is Helen.

Jacki,
Thank you so much for writing your blog. My dear friend Gwen Frost got great comfort from it. Unfortunately she lost her battle July 8th. Gwen was not able to undergo the conventional treatments and her cancer was not caught as early as yours. You are a great advocate for women to be very aware of our bodies and any changes.
God bless you and your family with a long and happy life.

I am 44 years old and my grandmother had breast cancer. I was always a small chested person and lately my breasts have gotten fuller. The last visit to my doctor told me that I have dense breast . Last month, I felt a lump in my breast. I had felt it about 2 years ago, but the mamm did not find anything. This time it just felt different to me. This time the doctor had them do a mamm and an ultrasound. It showed abnormalities. So then I went to a surgical oncologist. He was supposed to try a sterotactic proceedure, but he suggested a biopsy using ultrasound. Well they could not aspirate the cyst. During the procedure, my blood pressure dropped and I got dizzy and they stopped in the middle of the proceedure. I had to reschdedule. I am not returning to the incompitent nurse and specialist. The specialist and the nurse kept arguing that the nurse was forgetful in front of me and the nurse gave the specialist the wrong items for this proceedure. She kept telling the nurse that she never remebers anythins. The nurse gave the specialist the wrong solution to place the specimin into. She had given her saline and the specialist was very upset with her. My confidence in the entire proceedure diminished at that point.
I requested to go to another hospital and have someone else. It was a blessing that the other hospital could not finish the proceedure. I am having some anesthesia for the next proceedudre. It is very uncomfortable and I could have used some nurturing during the proceedure. Another factor was that I had my mother in law with me insted of having my husband with me. This time I want my hubby with me for the next proceedure.

I am 17 years old and i discoverd a lump in my right breast. It is very sore and it moves. I went to the doctors and they sent me for an ultrasound. The results came back the next day and they said that it was a solid and it was 2 cm by 2 cm. Doctors keep telling me that i have nothing to worry about but they keep doing all these tests. I meet with the surgeons on the 29. They are not doing the biopsy that day but i have to talk to them and they will tell me what they are going to do. Then i get schedualed for a biopsy that day. I am very scared because everything you said happend to you is happening to me. I know not all cases are the same and breast cancer in girls my age doesnt happen very much but im just scared.

Jackie, I came across your blog which is very similar to my story, I am currently going through chemotherapy...I have one today and I have two more to go! I enjoyed reading your blog and appreciate insight from others who have travled this road before me. I also have two you children ages 2 and 4...makes for another interesting challenge. But, my perspectives on life have changed dramactically! Thank you for sharing. Any advice would be greatly appreciared. I can't wait to finish reading.
