I love my nose. It's not a perfect nose, but it's me. When I look at my Aunts and see that we all have the same nose it make me feel like we are all connected and i LOVE it.

My favorite part of my body is my mouth. Not because of my crooked smile, or velvet tongue, but because of the voice it carries. My mouth can form the words to protest wrong. My mouth can agree and compromise with others. My mouth can often get me into trouble.
I love my mouth, filled with imperfect teeth, because it can say, "Thank You" it can say, "You're Welcome" it can say "I'm Sorry" and "I Love You." My mouth has the ability to express out loud the things my body wants, the things my body needs.
While the rest of my body is fickle and fluctuates. My mouth will always hold the vowels and consonants I need to sing a song or tell a story.

My favorite body part is my hair. Growing up, it was always my best feature - long, straight and naturally red. It was the hardest thing for me to lose when I went through chemo and I am so thankful it's back. It is still MUCH shorter than I've ever worn it, but I'll never have a "bad hair" day again.

My arms, because they can lift and hug and carry my sons. And they would look so darn cute in that dress.

I would have to say my legs! I love to wear fun stockings and I jump rope to keep them in shape. Also the clavicle near the neckline is another favorite.

What I love about my body is how warm and cuddly it is. Of all the laps in our house, our cat always chooses mine for a snooze.

OK - I'm in. I used to like my long back the best but with all the changes during chemo these days, I am going to have to go with my eyes. When I look in the mirror they are the one thing I can still see myself in. So, my favorite body part is my eyes. Chemo can make them cry and make them red but they are still my eyes.

At 39 I have come to 'appreciate the skin I am in.' When I look at those few stretch marks on my abdomen I am reminded of the joyous time when I was pregnant with each of my girls. When my daughter asks why I have wrinkles by my eyes I proudly tell her that I have earned each one of them through laughter and smiling, and good times with our family. When one of my 'special' students told me he was just feeling my arm (the untoned underside) I felt and an appreciation for soft skin rather than the lack of toning. When I look at my body I thank God I have strength and courage and good health to make every day great. I am a mom, a wife, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a best friend, a teacher, a mentor, and a coworker and I love the skin I am in!

I loove my lips! I have other body parts that I treasure but today I decided my lips are at the top of the list! Whether they're crimson, pink, or glossy, their gorgeous features remain true even when trying to cover my pink studded braces;)

The first thing that came to my mind about my body are my "battle scars." I was part of the Hopkins 4K for Cancer and took a couple of good spills throughout the trip. (We cycled 4,000 miles from Baltimore to San Francisco in an effort to raise money for the ACS and Hope Lodge of Baltimore. Along the way, we volunteered at communities, met the incredible people who have fought, survived, or help others survive cancer, and spread hope from town to town). These scars give me a story to tell everyone I meet and, in turn, inspire them to do something personal to help make a stance against cancer. Okay, and I really like my freckles too :)
