Four years ago, I wrote these words:
The day before Thanksgiving, my phone rang at 10:00 AM. The doctor who did the biopsy said the pathology report was back already. He said that unfortunately, cancer cells were found. He said I would need a lumpectomy (surgery to remove the lump), radiation, and possibly chemotherapy. He told me to buy a book called Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book. I got the book that day.

Hi, I read your article in the Women Health magazine on Thanksgiving day. I admired you for the way you fought the disease.
I have a friend that is losing her battle. I can\’t even imagine the pain she is going through but it is really painful seing her like that. At the same time I do admire her faith and strength for making it this far. Even doctors said that she wouldn\’t be here if it weren\’t for her faith and desire to live a little longer for her kids. I am thankful that I was able to help her in the process along with other friends because she doesn\’t have a lot support from her family. I wanted to ask you what else we could do for her to make her days good when she is feeling bad? We try to be with her as much as we can, play music for her to relax, etc. She is receiving care now 24/7. Any advice?
