  • What strikes me about these photos is not so much the lack of breasts as the lack of self-pity! Beautiful gallery!

I’m a 19 year survivor (diagnosed at age 30). Originally reconstructed after bilateral mastectomies, the implants ruptured about 3 years ago and I opted to have them removed and not replaced. This is the first time of have seen photos of women who look just like me…and they are beautiful. Thank you for your strength and courage. You are my heros!

Powerful indeed. And Empowering for me, a 43-year old, 2-year survivor with bilateral mastectomies. I will draw strength from this group of 44 who bared their scars and their soul. I will look at my own scars everyday to celebrate life, co-survivors and ME.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this and sharing your story. I am always struck by the extremely personal nature of breast cancer and the scars it leaves behind. It’s actually one of the reasons I founded MenForACause.org. Women are so beautiful, with or without breasts, and I’m happy to see that someone is celebrating that. I know that breasts are part of making a woman feel feminine and that many women struggle with losing them. But, I am one man who strongly feels that femininity and womanliness is in her character and strength. Cancer can never take that away from you.

  • I have realized that of all different types of insurance, health insurance coverage is the most dubious because of the conflict between
the insurance plan company’s necessity to remain profitable and the consumer’s need to have insurance.
Insurance companies’ revenue on well being plans are low, thus some corporations struggle to generate income. Thanks for the concepts you discuss through this site.
